We confess: we read the newspaper. Normally, all of the Boston Globe and many New York Times’ headlines and stories, as well as some others (Washington Post and the Guardian, e.g.).

But, that doesn’t mean we recommend it for everybody. In fact, we often tell people to “titrate the news”. We each have to make our peace and keep ourselves sane. It’s easy to get overwhelmed, lose faith and end up turning inward or away.

Many find it helpful to augment their daily reading by reading one or more smart people who regularly sift through the news, provide summary and analysis. And if it helps you spend less time doom scrolling, great!
